NE Pa. school administrator to start prison term

SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) - April 3, 2013

Defense attorney William DeStefano says Fred Rosetti will report to the federal prison in Lewisburg on Thursday.

Rosetti led the Northeastern Educational Intermediate Unit No. 19 until 2010. Federal prosecutors say he sought reimbursement for travel that never occurred and received a cash payout for vacation, sick and personal days that he used but didn't report.

In all, Rosetti was ordered to repay nearly $138,000 to the school unit, plus a $30,000 fine.

Rosetti pleaded guilty in October and was sentenced to 33 months in prison last month after a federal judge rejected as too lenient a plea bargain calling for 18 months in prison
