He'll do anything for a doughnut

TRINITY, Fla. (AP) - November 14, 2013

But in Florida a man is facing charges that he impersonated a cop to get discounted doughnuts.

Pasco County sheriff's deputies say 48-year-old Charles T. "Chuck" Barry tried it twice recently at a Tampa-area Dunkin' Donuts.

They say the first time he showed the clerk a badge and a holstered gun, telling him, "See, I am a cop!"

When he returned the next day, the manager wrote down his license plate number.

Deputies set up surveillance at the store and busted Barry when he returned.

Authorities say they found a badge and a .38-caliber revolver in his pocket.
