Suspect sought in Audubon, New Jersey murder

AUDUBON, N.J. - March 5, 2014

Brandon Mosby, 23, of Camden, remains on the loose but has been charged with murder in the death of 48-year-old John Carey.

The shooting happened at a boarding home in the 500 block of the White Horse Pike around 10:50 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators say Mosby was involved in a domestic dispute with a woman, who is one of the boarders.

The fight spilled out of the woman's room and into a common area.

Carey tried to intervene on the woman's behalf, police said, and Mosby allegedly shot him.

The woman was able to escape and flag down a passing car with two women inside. They drove her to the Collingswood Diner.

The victim did not know their names and police are trying to identify them.

Anyone with information in this case, or who knows of Mosby's whereabouts, is asked to contact Camden County Prosecutor's Office Detective Charles Farrell at (856) 225-8653 or Audubon Police Detective David Bauer at (856) 547-1171.
