One person is dead after a shooting near the campus of Widener University in Chester, Pa.

Police say a male was shot around 11:00 a.m. Thursday while driving at 12th Street and Melrose Avenue, just off the campus.

The victim, who is not a Widener student, was taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
