The shooting occurred at the Feltonville Recreation Center along the 200 block of East Wyoming Avenue shortly before 8:30 p.m. Monday.
Arriving officers discovered a 15-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the right leg on the basketball court.
He was transported to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in stable condition.
A short time later, a 24-year-old man, was taken by a car to Temple University Hospital. He was suffering from a gunshot wound to the hip. He is stable.
Police say they are aware of an argument that occurred prior to the shooting and believe drugs played a role.
They are not sure if the two victims were the intended targets.
Two shell casings were found on the basketball court.
Witnesses say there were about 100 people at the playground at the time of the shooting.
The suspect remains at large.
Police will examine surveillance cameras to help in the search.
