Local high school graduate receives Pioneer Award

FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- Frankford high school celebrated the achievements of one of its alumni Thursday morning.

Philadelphia's deputy police commissioner Christine Coulter was awarded the school's pioneer achievement award during a ceremony.

Coulter, who graduated in 1980, started with the department back in 1988.

She now leads a thousand Philadelphia police officers.
