3 people escape Germantown house fire

GERMANTOWN (WPVI) -- Firefighters battled a house fire in the city's Germantown section early Wednesday morning.

The fire started just after 2:30 a.m. on the 3100 block of Knox Street.

Officials said three people were able to get out safely.

They are now being helped by the Red Cross because of the damage to their home.

Investigators are working to find out how the fire started.
