Tenured teacher of excellence

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A teacher from Camden was honored Thursday, recognized for her leadership at LEAP academy university charter school.

Helen Redmond became the school's first ever tenured teacher of excellence.

She created, and grew the school's business academy.

LEAP is known for having a 100 percent graduation and college placement rate for 11 consecutive years.
