Motorist trapped after car slams into garage in Mantua

MANTUA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police say a motorist was trapped for a short time after a car slammed into a garage in Mantua.

It happened before 1 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of North 34th Street.

Police say the driver lost control, hitting a garage and pushing the door in.

First responders had to extricate the motorist from the car.

No serious injuries were reported.

There was no immediate word what caused the driver to lose control.
