Who Murdered Larry McAdoo?

October 12, 2007 One of the first things you notice when walking into Ernestine McAdoo's Overbrook home is the dozens of sympathy cards.

"It's been three months but it's like it happened this morning," said Ernestine.

June 19th was a regular day off for 54-year-old Larry McAdoo. That morning he headed out on foot to run errands in his North Philadelphia neighborhood. He returned home around 11:30 a.m.

"As he went to enter his apartment at 11th and Lehigh he was killed, shot and killed."

Larry was already inside the building at the time of the shooting. Ernestine said you need a key to get through the main door, so it's not clear how the shooter got in.

"The family can't believe no one in the apartment building saw anyone enter or leave."

The motive for the shooting is unclear, but Larry's wallet was taken.

"We are just in a state of shock. I just can't believe it."

The McAdoo family is urging witnesses to come forward. There's a $5,000 reward for anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
