Sales of masks will predict winner
MILWAUKEE (AP) - February 5, 2008 BuyCostumes.com says its sales of candidate masks will
predict the winner of today's primary contests. The company started
selling eight paper masks for 99 cents each last week. Each sale is
counted as a vote. On the Democratic side, Barack Obama is leading
Hillary Clinton 50 percent to 46. Among the Republicans, Ron Paul
is putting on the happy face -- at least according to the masks
sales. Though he's barely made a dent in the primaries,
BuyCostumes.com says Paul's mask is the leading seller with 56
percent. John McCain has 21 percent, followed by Mitt Romney and
Mike Huckabee. Milwaukee-based BuyCostumes.com says its mask poll
correctly predicted the outcomes of the last two presidential
elections.
