Not only has the pride of New England been creamed by the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII, so, too, has the state's namesake chowder - at least at one city restaurant.

The Grand Central Oyster Bar planned to change the name of its New England Clam Chowder to "Giants Clam Chowder" for the week.

The restaurant's owner, Mike Garvey, said in a statement that it is "an appropriated tribute."

"Giants Clam Chowder" will be available for the price of $5.75 a bowl.

The Giants beat the previously undefeated New England Patriots 17-14 on Sunday night in Glendale, Ariz., for their third Super Bowl title.
