Boy, 7, drowns at birthday party

BEAR, Del. (AP) - June 15, 2008 It happened around 7:20 p.m. Sunday at a home in the unit block of Hilary Circle.

Police say 7 year old Damon Emory and others were in the pool and everyone got out to sing "Happy Birthday." However, police say it appears that Emoty got back into the pool without supervision and was found moments later at the bottom of the pool.

Emory was pulled from the pool and rushed to Christiana Hospital, where he died.
