'Assisted Living Concepts' ordered to release records

A New Jersey judge has granted a subpoena that will allow the state's Department of the Public Advocate to investigate eight assisted living centers in New Jersey.

The centers are owned by 'Assisted Living Concepts.' There have been complaints that residents were wrongly evicted when their private money ran out and they converted to Medicaid.

As of yet, it has not been proven residents were kicked out based on their Medicaid status, but the public advocate will now go through the facilities records' to further look into complaints.
