The fire broke out just before 3:30 Thursday morning on the 10 thousand block of Evans Street in the Somerton section of philadelphia.
Officials say a three year old child was trapped in a bedroom.
Firefighters rescued the child and he was rushed to Frankford Torresdale Hospital where he is being treated for smoke inhalation.
