The cab driver accused in a hit-and-run that left a 5-year old dead and his mother critically injured is being held for trial. Yves Aristilde is charged with homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter and related offenses.

The crash happened back on August 24th.

Police say Yves, of Olney, hit and dragged 5-year-old Terrell Elliot and his mother, Dana Reynolds, down the street near the intersection of Windrim and Lindley just before 2:00 a.m.

A few hours later, police found the cab a few blocks away at 6th and Lindley, but the driver was nowhere to be found.

Aristilde then turned himself into police.
