Wilmington bank robber sought

WILMINGTON, Del. - September 19, 2008 - It happened around 8:30 a.m. Friday at the WSFS branch on 1711 Delaware Avenue in Wilmington.

Police say the suspect entered the bank and went to a teller window where he slipped a note on the counter threatening to shoot the employee. Investigators say no weapon was displayed.

The teller turned over some cash, and the man fled eastbound on Delaware Avenue.

Police say they later found an activated dye pack..

The man was also caught on a surveillance camera riding through the Acme parking lot on a dark colored mountain bike.

The suspect is described as:

-A white or hispanic male
-30 - 40 years old
-Wearing a brown knit hate with a white stripe around it, a white collared fleece with a Nike emblem on the left breast, black track pants.
-Witnesses say he spoke with a heavy NY accent.
-The suspect also had white tape around all his finger tips.
