Yes means no

Some voters in Michigan may feel like they already have a hangover -- even before they vote on a drinking ballot measure.

When people go to the polls next Tuesday in Ottawa County, they'll decide whether to lift a ban on beer and wine sales on Sundays.

But here's the catch.

To continue the beer ban, a "yes" vote is required.

To allow Sunday beer and wine sales takes a "no" vote.

That's why the Say Yes to Sunday Committee is urging, "No."

Officials say the convoluted language is required by the state liquor code.
