Blast of October snow

PENNINGTON, N.J. - October 28, 2008 - There's still foliage on the trees, and here we are with snow.

We haven't even had Halloween yet, but Tuesday afternoon it was something scarier. Big, fat, white flakes of snow blanketed our area.

"I think it's the right time of year," said Charlie Ellington of Pennington, New Jersey. "The kids will have a lot of fun after school today."

The slushy snow accumulated on grass, and even on some cars, but it didn't really stick.

That is, except for in some people's craws, who were not prepare today for a snow event.

"It's freezing! But, it looks like it's going to gone for Halloween so that'll be good for the kids," said Susan Huber of Pennington, N.J.

"You take what you get," said Betty Lauton of Pennington. "You can't control the weather."
