Houston prepares to host Latin Grammys

HOUSTON - November 13, 2008 The Latin Grammy excitement is already filling downtown Houston, and predictably, the parties have already started. People were already having a good time last night at one Latin Grammy pre-party at "Club Grooves" near downtown.

The people we talked with seemed to agree that despite the weather this week, Houston is a great place to celebrate the year's Latin music accomplishments.

"The Norteno music, Tejano music and this is just a fantastic venue to bring all of these types of Latin music to the great state of Texas and to showcase Houston and the State of Texas to the world," said Vice President of Freddie Records Freddie Martinez, Jr.

Fans were already hanging out, looking for their favorite stars on the green carpet last night at the Toyota Center.

Former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant Cristián de la Fuente and Patricia Manterola will co-host the biggest night in Latin music.

Juanes and John Legend, and Gloria Estefan with José Feliciano and Carlos Santana are among performers added to lineup tonight.
