A small plane made a hard landing last night on a four-lane street near Whiteman Airport in the Los Angeles suburb of Pacoima.
Nobody was hurt.
But it was a close call.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says the experimental single-engine FlightStar dodged utility lines but clipped a parked car.
Several drivers had to swerve to avoid getting hit.
Officials say the plane lost power and the pilot didn't think he could make it to the runway.
