Hot shot deal in the south

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - November 27, 2008

Shoppers will be able to buy guns tax free tomorrow and Saturday.

Sales tax will be waived during the so-called "Second Amendment Weekend."

Republican state legislator Mike Pitts introduced the measure.

He says lots of people give hunting guns to "pop or grandpop" for Christmas.

But opponents charge the tax holiday for gun-buyers is just a political gimmick.
