Penn State defeats Army 60-45

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) - December 10, 2008 Talor Battle and Danny Morrissey each scored 14 points and Andrew Jones added 13 for Penn State (8-2), which was coming off a loss to Temple.

Josh Miller scored 10 points to lead Army (2-7).

Army remained within striking distance through most of the second half until Battle converted a three-point play with 3:11 left that extended the Nittany Lions' lead into double digits for the first time at 54-43.

Army shot 19-for-50 from the field and hit 2 of 14 tries from 3-point range. Penn State also struggled from long distance, shooting 4-for-22.
