Plane hits cow while trying to land

LONDON (AP) - December 18, 2008

British pilot Rob Wotton was attempting to make an emergency landing southwest of London when he ran into trouble.

It was in the form of a cow that wandered in the way of Wotton's 1930s Tiger Moth biplane.

YouTube video shows the bovine getting knocked to the ground by the plane's lower wing.

A report on the Sept. 14 accident says the cow was "apparently uninjured."

Wotton adds it's the first time he's hit a cow in his 22 years of flying.
