Crews battle Springfield house fire

SPRINGFIELD, Pa.December 22, 2008 The fire broke out just after 10:00 this morning on the 8700 block of Montgomery Avenue in Springfield Township. It is unclear if the house was occupied at the time the fire broke out.

Medics transported one firefighter with minor injuries to an area hospital. No other injuries were reported.

The fire has since been brought under control.
