Ken Shankweiler resigned as coach of the Salisbury High School basketball team following Saturday's confrontation.
Shankweiler acknowledged going into the stands during a home loss to Wilson Area High School and confronting John Hrebik, father of standout junior Caitlin Hrebik.
Police say the confrontation at the school near Allentown resulted from a disagreement over "game management and strategy."
Shankweiler was ejected from the game, which Salisbury lost 62-19.
