NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA - December 25, 2008 --
Officials are investigating the Christmas Day stabbing death of a woman in the city's far northeast. It was around 7:00 a.m. when officials were called out to the 3700 block of Genesee Drive for a report of a stabbing. Once there officials say they found that a man had stabbed a woman. The victim was pronounced dead a short time later.
No word yet on a motive.
Officials have taken the man into custody, though no word yet on charges.
