Then the Hoegel family of Cherry Hill, N.J. said they had to fast-forward holiday celebrations so they could get to Virtua Voorhees to deliver their Christmas baby. And little David isn't the only one in the family with a Christmas birthday. His mother Jill was also born on Christmas.
"Everybody asks did I plan it, I'm not that good," she said while laughing.
Now the Hoegel family will have three holidays to celebrate each December 25th. Jill says she'll make sure baby David gets his time to shine.
"We always did Christmas in the morning and my birthday later in the day- that seemed to work out good, I'll probably keep that up," Jill Hoegel said.
David Senior calls the birth of his son a miracle; The timing a nice coincidence.
"I'm happy that mom's healthy, the baby's healthy- which is the most important thing," he said.
Both mom and baby are expected to go home soon.
