Officers stop robbery of boarding house - Philadelphia News

OLNEY - December 27, 2008 Authorities tell Action News that around 3:15 a.m., two armed males entered a boarding home in the 5600 block of North Mascher Street where over 20 were living in an attempt to rob the residents of their cash.

During the robbery, one gunman shot one occupant in the leg inside of the home.

Police officers from the 35th district arrived and encountered the armed suspects who pointed their weapons at the officers; police fired several shots at the suspects before the gunmen gave up and were taken into custody.

None of the suspects were shot by police.

Both suspects were taken into custody and at least one gun was recovered by police.

The suspects face multiple charges
