WILMINGTON, Del. - December 31, 2008 - Officers were called to the 2300 block of Jefferson Street around 11:45 p.m Tuesday for a report of a man who had been shot.
There, police found 35-year-old Anthony Meek, of Wilmington, with a gunshot wound to the chest.
He was pronounced dead a short time later at Christiana Hospital.
