Wilmington's 26th homicide of 2008

Police in Wilmington, Delaware are investigating the 26th homicide of 2008, which has been a record-breaking year for the city.Officers were called to the 2300 block of Jefferson Street around 11:45 p.m Tuesday for a report of a man who had been shot.

There, police found 35-year-old Anthony Meek, of Wilmington, with a gunshot wound to the chest.

He was pronounced dead a short time later at Christiana Hospital.
