Man wanted in pit bull attacks on boy

Police are looking for the owner of the dogs who violently attacked a 9-year-old boy. Troopers have obtained an arrest warrant for 29-year-old Osvaldo Rodriguez, Jr. of North Pennewell Drive in Wilmington.

Several days ago, Troopers received a tip identifying Rodriguez as the owner of the pit bulls which attacked the boy on January 23rd.

Investigators say on the day of the attack the dogs escaped Rodriguez's property through a hole in the fence.

Rodriguez is currently wanted for two counts of Reckless Endangering 2nd, two counts each of Biting Dog Allowed to Run at Large, Dogs without Inoculation and Failure to Display Dog Tags.

A computer check revealed Rodriguez is currently wanted on three separate active seizures in New Castle County Courts.
