Authorities say a 19-year-old New Castle area man armed with a gun has been arrested for threatening to kill three people. New Castle County Police say Kareem Rodgers threatened his girlfriend and grandmother Sunday evening, then sent his mother a text message saying he would kill her.

Rodgers was arrested about 11 p.m. at his home in the 2600 block of Stonebridge Boulevard.

He is charged with terroristic threatening, possession of marijuana and possession of a .32 caliber firearm with an obliterated serial number.

Police say the threats came during a fight between Rodgers and his family and the girlfriend.
