ALLENTOWN, Pa. - June 18, 2009 - Thirty-eight-year-old Gilberto Quinones was
outside his ex-wife's home in east Allentown with his daughter
Olivia on Wednesday morning when he saw an Allentown police officer
pull up in his cruiser and order a man to the ground at gunpoint.
Quinones says the suspect put up his hands and walked toward the
officer, but then started fighting with him. Quinones told his
daughter to go in the garage and ran across the street to help the
officer.
Police say 39-year-old Richard Cepress robbed a Wachovia bank.
He now faces charges of robbery, theft, receiving stolen property
and resisting arrest.
