2 pedestrians struck in Fox Chase

A car strikes two pedestrians in Northeast Philadelphia. It happened at 11:18 a.m. Friday morning at the intersection of Oxford Ave and Verree St in the city's Fox Chase section.

Two pedestrians were struck by the car and were taken to area hospitals.

The vehicle then drove into a store front's vegetable stand.

According to detectives, the driver crashed the car into the store because of a medial condition, possibly a heart attack, and died because of the medical condition.

Police say one of the pedestrians received minor injuries.
