People who live nearby say the victims were lighting up a little barbeque to celebrate the holiday weekend when at least two gunmen walked up and unloaded their weapons.
Some say the worst part is that this kind of behavior isn't even considered unusual anymore.
Authorities showed up a short time after it happened right around 10:00 Sunday night. Investigators ended up marking off at least thirty bullet holes on the walls and windows after the victims were transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.
No word on a motive and no arrests have been made.
Neighbors have been complaining to the borough about drug and gang activity within this complex but they say it's only gotten worse over the past few years.
The tragic irony is that many of these folks moved here more than 10 years ago because they thought it would be a safe place to raise children and now some say they feel trapped.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says the victims are a 30-year-old from Camden, a 38-year-old and a 21-year-old from Lindenwold, a 22-year-old from Gloucester Township, and a 20-year-old from Voorhees.
