The 30-year-old man's bike went out of control about 1:45 Wednesday morning.
It crashed into a pole on the 4100 block of Milner Street near Princeton Avenue in the Tacony section of the city.
The man suffered head injuries and was taken to the hospital where he is in critical condition.
Police say the man was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
