Northampton County Coroner Zach Lysek said the victim of Friday's fire in Lehigh Township was 53-year-old Bruce Sensinger, who was also known as Michael Griffith.
Sensinger was wanted in Florida for 22 years on a felony grand theft auto charge.
According to court papers, police discovered Griffith's real identity in January and that he was wanted for theft in excess of $100,000 dating from 1987.
Police arrested Sensinger Jan. 21. A corrections officer on Saturday said Sensinger left the county prison March 15 for his scheduled extradition to Florida.
It's not clear what happened after that. An investigation is continuing.
