A group of boy scouts got a stinging lesson they'll soon not forget in Upper McCungie, Lehigh County.

The troop, which consisted of nearly two dozen people, was traveling along a trail at camp spirit around 7:30 p.m. when they disturbed a bee hive.

The troops attempted to run back to where the scout leaders were meeting but were stung in the process.

15 suffered bee stings, three required medical treatment at nearby hospitals.
