Police said the teen was confronted by five males and stabbed when he answered the door at a home in the 200 block of North Broom Street around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say they are investigating the possibility that the stabbing was retaliation for an earlier event.
Paramedics say the teen was taken to Christiana Hospital in serious condition.
