Moorestown, New Jersey police say at about 3:50 p.m., a 12-year-old girl got off the school bus at S. Shirley and Beacon Avenues. She was walking south towards Westbrook Drive when a white panel type work van with no windows pulled alongside her.

The van was described as dirty, "beat up" with a crack in the windshield, missing the driver's side mirror, possible ladder racks, with unknown NJ registration.

Police say the driver was bald and the passenger had a moustache with athletic build. The passenger asked the girl to get in the vehicle to help look for his son. She refused at which point the passenger ordered her to get in the van as he reached and tried to grab her.

The girl ran home and police were called by her mother.
