The crash happened at the intersection of 8th and Mercy Streets in South Philadelphia.
Medics transported the 27-year-old driver to the hospital with head and neck injuries.
One other occupant was not seriously injured.
There's no word on what caused the man to lose control of the car. The accident is under investigation.
