Wal-Mart projects store growth

NEW YORK - October 22, 2009 Company officials are forecasting revenue growth for the current fiscal year of 1 to 2 percent. They say sales should accelerate 4 percent to 6 percent in the following year.

The low-price retailer also projects that square footage growth will rise 4 percent this fiscal year and next.

Wal-Mart is based in Bentonville, Ark.
