Authorities tell Action News that the driver of the Ford Explorer was traveling down Walnut Street when he crossed over Edgewood Avenue and slammed into the side of a brick home located in the 500 block of Walnut Street in Audubon around 3:00 a.m. claiming the life of the driver instantly.
A man and a woman who were living in the home were asleep when the car crashed. They were shaken, but not injured in the crash.
The Red Cross has been called to assist the couple with shelter
