Kimberly Hoffman and Micah Hauenstein simply adore two things: Each other and the city of Philadelphia.
That's why the place cards at their wedding reception on Friday, at the Waterworks restaurant along the Schuylkill River, jokingly included the names of famous Philadelphians like Donovan McNabb, Rocky Balboa and Ryan Howard.
Wouldn't you know, one of the guys just happened to show up!
Philadelphia Phillies slugger and NLCS MVP Ryan Howard stopped by the restaurant, thinking it was open for business instead of reserved for the wedding party.
"The bridal party was around the bar and Micah came up to us and said "Two things. One, we're going to start the rehearsal, and two: Your sister is getting pictures with Ryan Howard," said Kelly Hoffman, the bride's sister.
Both families say they are huge Phillies fans so it was no imposition.
The All-Star posed for pictures and signed autographs and then was treated to the wedding menu which included onion soup and tuna ceviche.
"He was so kind and the person he was with was so kind to let us interrupt. He even made a joke saying "How come I'm not at Table 6?" because Micah and my sister put him at Table 8!" said Hoffman.
The Hoffman's and Hauensteins say it was such a thrill and Ryan Howard was nothing short of gracious and charming.
By the way, Kimberly and Micah's family say their love will last forever, but the Yankees won't make it past Game 5!
