Fmr. foster parent indicted for child porn

Delaware Attorney General Joseph Biden announced on Tuesday that a former foster parent and child photographer had been indicted on child porn charges. Fifty-two-year-old Steven Hughes of Newark was arrested in late October by state police. He was arraigned and committed after failing to post $300,000 cash bail.

New Castle County Police say Hughes, who also worked as Santa Claus impersonator advertising home visits, is charged with 10 counts of using a computer to unlawfully depict children in a prohibited sexual act.

Authorities say Hughes was arrested following a two-week undercover investigation targeting the online distribution of child pornography, and that a search of his home recovered evidence of hundreds of illegal images of children in various photographs.
