New Castle County Police say Hughes, who also worked as Santa Claus impersonator advertising home visits, is charged with 10 counts of using a computer to unlawfully depict children in a prohibited sexual act.
Authorities say Hughes was arrested following a two-week undercover investigation targeting the online distribution of child pornography, and that a search of his home recovered evidence of hundreds of illegal images of children in various photographs.
