Forty-two-year-old Ronald Weed received two concurrent 30-year terms for murder and a 10-year concurrent term for attempted murder, with no parole eligibility for 30 years.
He pleaded guilty in September.
Prosecutors say he used an ax, a knife and a blunt object to attack 65-year-old Loretta Weed on Aug. 5, 2008. When one of his 12-year-old twin nieces called 911, he attacked the girls. Kimberly McCarten was killed; her sister Courtney survived.
