And now we're learning the White House's own website is confusing the issue.
Recovery-dot-org lists stimulus jobs - The problem is - some of those jobs don't exist!
For instance, Congressman David Obey discovered a sewer project in his district was listed as creating 100 jobs.. But the real number is only five.
"I would like to have strangled somebody. They've got to fix the problem," Representative David Obey of Wisconsin said.
Here's what the White House has to say:
"The first time out, we knew they were going to find problems. We did. There weren't a lot of them. We think just 1 percent," White House Special Adviser Ed Deseve said.
