Police seek identity of woman found in river

BORDENTOWN, N.J. - November 16, 2009

Her body was discovered on the banks of Newbold Island just off the Mansfield Township shoreline on Saturday, November 14th.

Investigators have been unable to identify her, and are asking for the public's help.

She is described as being 18 to 24 years old, having dark hair, she is 5'02" tall, approximately 120 pounds. She has two distinctive tattoos, one on the shoulder blade of a phoenix and one on the ankle of flowers.

Also, info from the autopsy shows that the woman has had a cesarean section delivery of a baby at some point in the past. This may indicate that she has a relatively young child.

Police said they believe the body had been in the water for less than a week.
