The violent home invasion happened in a second floor apartment above a Chinese restaurant along the 5200-block of Rodman Street.
According to police a man was in his apartment on his computer when the suspect broke into his apartment and attacked him.
The suspect demanded money, but that's when the victim grabbed a knife that was on top of his dresser and stabbed the suspect in the chest.
The suspect was transported to the hospital and is in an unknown condition. He will be charged for breaking into the apartment.
