Television falls on 10-month-old

WEST KENSINGTON - December 3, 2009

Jeanette Luna was next door and heard frantic screams.

"I ran outside, the uncle was coming with a sheet and we jumped in the car right away, everything happened in a matter of seconds," Luna said.

Luna drove the 10-month-old baby and his uncle to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.

She says the baby, identified as Felix Omeda, was bleeding from the nose.

"He was on and off, opening and closing his eyes. Like I said, he was bleeding, but he was breathing in the car, so that was the good thing," Luna said.

Police are investigating.

They say it appears the television fell off an unstable table and no foul play is suspected.

Friends and family members are praying for the best.

"It was a freak accident, you know, hopefully he'll be ok," Luna said.

The 10-month-old remains in critical condition.
